Thanked: 131Update:
Just a note to say that Stephen has written to me and suggested that we arrange our own lunch. Either bring lunch with us to be eaten at the start or feed yourself beforehand. That way Morturn wont have to find a buffet and it wont cost anyone any money. So:
Morturn; Call off the buffet please
and could you post here please so I know you got the message please. But if you have already organized it and been super efficient then let us know that too.

We booked our train tickets yesterday, so we will be in the vicinity from Friday afternoon. Anyone fancy meeting for a drink Friday evening if you are too? The video camera (& tripod) are arranged. I just have to sort out the discs
Oh yes,
16 days to go!!!

As far as the raffle goes, I think that if someone wishes to buy lots of tickets and scoop the pool he or she should remember what's in all those bags we're carrying..............................!
Seriously - I do think that anyone with any heart would not grab everything, but on the other hand I do want the kid's hospital to get as much as possible.

Thanked: 131You guys should all now hopefully have a personalized invite and a copy of the programme. At least: those of you who sent me your email addreses will. Coko is a name who has added himself to the list. However, the following people do not yet have invites because they have not sent me email addresses:
guys please contact me for this asap.
I'll also arrange some sort of travel directions based on Google and the earlier post by Morturn (what a hero he is).
EDIT: Some of you have been coming to me saying you cant read a .docx file. Thats a file from the latest version of word. I suggest you either contact me for a .doc file or download a compatability upgrade from the Microsoft website.Last edited by sidneykidney; 09-04-2008 at 11:37 AM.

Thanked: 131My first resto- completed!
OK guys here's the news. After a LONG wait I have finally completed the restoration project! Yessiree the Wapi blade is housed snugly in its new mahogony and pine scales. Not as perfect as i'd like but for a first attempt not bad. I'll post some photos when I take them but rest assured that those attending will see it first hand and one lucky attendee will WIN it!
