Ok so I gave you the good news first. Unfortunatley Nim & I won't be able to attend Razorcon this year, the two of us are moving house in the next few weeks and it's going to be hellisly expensive (need new carpets and a cooker to say the least)!

I've no idea if Spike is still attending or not. I am gutted we can't make it though as Nim is doing so well it would have been great to have Uncle Stephen read "Where's ma coo?" is his best accent. Oh well, fingers crossed for next year.

I am truly, truly gutted! Nim had even got a tartan fleece hat/gloves/boots set especially for the occasion too. Timing of things has been really lousy this year, it's Nim's fault for being early and starting the entire cycle off. lol

Maybe we could arrange another social later in the year in a location easier to get to?

OK here goes.

For various reasons outwith my control I am sorry to announce that:

The meet up in Kintail at the beginning of September has been cancelled.

It was a combination of factors that did it I guess. One major one was that despite 18 places being available, only 9 were ever potentially filled. I for one am disappointed at this.

I guess the difficulty was in getting to the venue and the cost involved. Those who ended up booking were mainly those members in Scotland.

Those who have paid deposits have all been notified and Spike has said he will Paypal back to those members what has been paid already in the next fortnight.

Despite this, I would like to continue to arrange A meet up. What the shape of this is entirely up to those coming. If it amounts to me and Garry in a bar then thats what I shall organize. If 5 people want to come i'll arrange accomodation. At this point folks its entirely down to yourselves.

Some things you should know though:

1. To make it easier to get to via transport links the event (whatever it is) shall more than likely be in the Scottish central belt. Flights from the UK and europe are frequent and inexpensive. If however its just me and Garry we will be meeting in a bar in Wemyss bay station

2. I will arrange it to keep costs down as much as possible. I think it would be better to keep the meet to a one night affair: Meet up late morning, early afternoon... go out in the evening/night... stay over and split after lunch the following day. Let me know if you would prefer otherwise though.

3. I will provisionally try to arrange something around October time. Assuming people still want to meet

So what do I need to know from you folks? Well I need to know numbers of who would be interested. I dont have much time and I apologize for the short notice.

1. Let me know what weekends in October you can manage. It will more than likely be a weekend.

2. Let me know how many would be coming. I need to know what sort of numbers I should sort for asap. Money can be sorted after I know what to arrange for. Or I might sort something that people pay on their own on the day. It can be sorted later.

3. Give me an idea of what you would want to do on this weekend. This is beginning to feel like that stag night I was best man for...

4. Give me some idea of where you are coming from. If everybody that wants to come is coming from one place, its stupid to arrange it in another.

5. If money is an issue then let me know how much you would be willing to pay for this. In a PM if necessary.

Essentially what i'm saying is if you are still up for meeting in October, let me know and i'll sort something.

Oh, and as you might have guessed I got a job. I shall go to the ball!

Please let me know answers ASAP- as you can see time is of the essence.
