I'd said before 1300, but i guess that got missed since it is in 24 hour format. Does 1 PM work?
If CarrieM could bring some cookies or such, that would be great. I should be fine on chairs, I just want to make sure we have table space. As you probably recall from your last visit, I typically leave... everything... out on my dining room table.

Just one for me... and I think I need directions. What should I bring? (besides gear, of course).

I'll PM you my address.
Though you didn't ask, I will comment on gear. We did a little show and tell last time, and I think it is likely that JoeD/CarrieM/JoeJr will only bring new items (though I can't speak for them). I would be happy to show any and all of my own razors. If there are calls for demo's, shaving and honing are both doable. My bathroom is small, but I have a mirror that can be moved into another room. For stones, I have a 1K waterstone, a blue/coticule combo, Spyderco medium and fine pocket stones, and a Swaty as well as a paddle strop with various pastes. So if anyone wanted to hone up a razor, have a honing demo, or try anything out, that would be doable as well.
As far as bringing things, you are welcome to bring anything you like. It sounds like CarrieM has volunteered to bring some sort of light, snackish type food. If you would like to bring another, that would be fine (though I'm not sure how much we will need since it seems there will not be too many of us.)
I will have some sort of beer on hand, as well as my trusty Britta. Oh yea, and I have a mildly stocked liquor cabinet. I was planning on cooking some sort of meal.
Other things that a forum member might want to bring... I'm fine with pipe smoking in the apartment (and I would be happy to share tobacco), but anything else (cigars and cigs come to mind) would have to be done out on the deck. That may or may not be an option, depending on the weather. I am pet friendly, so long as they are housebroken, well behaved, and on the small side. You are welcome to bring any music you might want to hear; I currently have a setup in the livingroom which runs through a laptop (CD's would be doable). You could bring slippers, though I am ok with cleanish shoes being worn in the apartment. If temps in the high 60's/low 70's are too low, I would recommend a layer (though I can provide one if you are on the smaller side like me).
Now I'm just rambling... and have been for some time. What were you thinking about bringing?

If you would like to try any of the straights we bring along you should bring your own brush. If you prefer hard soap you should bring that also. Hope the weather holds up.

Not sure what to bring. I don't really have anything unique or fascinating to hardcore razor folks. If someone is interested, I'd be happy to bring along my sharpening kit (Shapton glasstones to 16k, and I just got a jar of green alumox from Handamerican I'd be happy to share)...my resto kit (pins and such)... I have a bunch of razors, tending towards Wade & Butchers... any suggestions?
I can pick up some chips and dip or something to contribute to the munchies, or something else if it would be more appropriate. We're starting at 1300?

cassady, please feel free to bring whatever you want to share with others. We are bringing several razors. Not all that fancy but I know we have some W&B and really like them and we are always interested in seeing what others have been able to purchase and where from. Your sharpening kit and the alumox, as well as the resto kit would be very welcome. Everyone does things a bit differently and it's always interesting to share and compare experiences.
Also like JoeD said if you think you are going to want to try someone else's razor(s) please bring your own brush.
I will let Holli answer in regards to the chips/dip. I don't know exactly what he has planned.

+1 on Carrie's comments. I would like to see your Shapton glasstones to 16k. If there is any brand or style str8 you would like to see let me know. I might have one to bring along. So far I am just bring my Christmas gift straights, New Hess 8/8 #1, Hess 44, Robeson, Geneva in Yellow Heart and Jarnulf 6/8 along with the 12k Chinese hone and a brush. It's hard to pick just a few str8s to bring but I don't want to bring them all.

Great! I got a dovo shavette (for travel) for Christmas that I'll bring along as well. And my mom sent me a white tube of T-I paste that I'll tuck into my bag if anyone wants to charge a strop or some canvas.

Sorry, I picked a bad time to stop watching this thread. But as others have said in my stead, please do feel free to bring anything of interest, with regards to things razor related and non-razor related (including food).
