Good Idea to bring the hones. Anyone else with hones is welcome to bring them along also. It would be great to have another honing marathon.

just don't set up a honing line, like in a factory or something, that'll probably make me run for my life.

GREAT!! More hones and razors and no factory lines!! With your gear and what Holli and I have we should be able to get 4 or 5 people honing at the same time!! I think I only have 2 razors that need to be honed, if I get scales on them, maybe two more. Gotta see what I can pick up between now and the 18th. Between you, Holli and the others coming there should be enough straights for everyone to hone at least a few. This is going to be great!!

I don't plan on bring out all of my straights during the meet, it will take up too much time. If anyone has a brand or style they would like to wee and/or try mention it here and I will be sure to have it out. I'll post a list of what is on hand soon.

i'll see if i can get several of the same razor - that could be a fun teaching device.
i don't have my norton anymore, but with the naniwas and few coticule/blue combos there's certainly no shortage of hones for anybody who wants to try.

me, if i don't drive i'll just hang by the keg, it's like a frat party innit?

We should have enough hones then. I have a couple in the 1k range, same in the 4k, 8k, coticules and Escher type.

Frat party, I hope so. If you have a preferred drink bring it along. I will have fresh roasted coffee and some soda pop available as well as lunch for everyone. If the party goes into dinner we can chip in for pizza, Chinese take out or some other fast food. There are also a couple of diners in town as well as Burger King and Mickey D's.

A couple of more days to the meet! If you were not sure if you could make the meet now is the time to state your intentions. To all, please confirm your plans to attend so we are sure to have enough on hand for lunch. I would rather have some left over than be come up short but I don't want to fill my freezer with left overs.

A reminder of things to bring:

If you would like to shave with your own or another straight please bring a brush.

If you have any hones please bring them along. It would be fun to have a honing marathon.

Bring as many straight razors as you would like to share.

Have any razors that need honing, bring them along.

Anything else you would like to share that is shave related you are welcome to bring along.

If you have a camera bring that along please. A camcorder would be nice also.

I will not be providing any alcoholic beverages so if you have a preferred drink bring that too.

Did I forget anything? If so please make mention of it.

Joe, I'll try to remember to bring that set of drawers thingie I'd mentioned last time I was there. Can I offer you some more cigars, or have you quit those too? I discussed my arrival time with Carrie, so I'll see you then.
