THANK YOU LYNN! I had a most excellent time, seeing old friends, making new ones, the great conversations, I even got around to razors once in between the BS sessions! I love you all and sincerely wished we lived closer together, I swear I could do this once a month and never get tired of it. Once again, I thank all of you. Kelly
PS. I hope that in the future we can get the custom makers here for more tutorials and information that will help us understand the steel we so dearly love, a special thanks to Mike Blue, Bob Allman and of course last but not least, Charlie! It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Important note aka things I forgot to mention when I was too tired to make a proper post:
The loads of pictures I put up earlier in this thread were generously taken by Greg (Linacman) who helped me upload them from Lynn's. Everytime something was happening, Greg was there recording it for everyone on the forum who didn't get to go. I also want to add thanks to the guys who let me shoot whatever they had that I wanted to try, even though I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. In addition to the natural camaraderie everyone had which make the meet a wonderful experience, I found out that even in close quarters for several hours, Greg, Charlie, and Bob are great travel companionsFind me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Just like last year, this year's was a fantastic meeting! Thank you Lynn and Kathy for opening up your home to us and treating us like royalty! It was great to see the friends I made at last year's meeting again, and it was great to have the chance to make some new friends (Michael, Dan, Jim, and both Scott's to name a few). Thanks to all who generously contributed to the drawings.
Bob, Charlie, and Mike Blue - I'm amazed at you guys' talent. Bob, it was great to have an Allman Brother's reunion; I look forward to more in the near future. Charlie, it was great to meet you in person. As I said at the meeting, Charlie is a really nice guy to be around but it is difficult to keep him from talking so much Mike, I'm all the more impressed at your skill and knowledge after finding out that your talent is an avocation and not your primary vocation.
Glenn, it was great to see you again, and I'm glad you could stay longer this year so we could get to know each other better. Thanks for letting me fire your Glock. I'm going to try to forget how many pistols you have and those crazy mags that hold who-knows-how-many rounds; if I don't, I'm afraid I'll develop a full-blown case of PAD.
Tim, I really admire how you've tagged and numbered all of your razors and considered copying you, but decided it'd be kind of silly to tag and number 16 razors I'm stunned at the depth of your knowledge of the history of razor makers. Wow - what a collection of razors you have.
Lee, thanks for your friendship and for those wee hour of the night conversations that degenerated into unintelligible gibberish as sleep overtook us.
BJ, Benjamin, and Gary - this meeting was perfect, except for the 3 "holes" in it shaped exactly like you guys. I hope next Missouri meeting will find you there.
As with last year, I'm amazed how a group of men with such diverse backgrounds can so quickly become friends when it involves sharp things and things that go "boom".
As others have said, if you've never gone to one of the meetings, you're really missing out!

I just got home, that's a long drive to Houston. I'm too tired to type so I will just ditto what everyone else has said. Super meet, great people, new friends...I'm blessed. Good night

Thanked: 2209Hey guys, just a quick note..... just arrived home, safe, sound, tired and very pleased. The Razor Meet at Lynns was the BEST! and I don't see how it could get any better. There were a number of important events today and 2 of them were a NOS 5/8 Dubl Duck GoldEdge and NOS 5/8 Genco Fluid Steel.

Thanked: 0Hey Bruce,
I'm the other pilot, Steve. It was great meeting you and even greater to see other pilots that shave. Glad you made it back to KC with the round things down. Hope to be chatting with you soon. My screen name is KNAPPER.

Thanked: 7Hi, Steve!
Same here! It was a pleasure to meet you and I enjoyed our visit. I hope to see you at another event soon, but stay in touch. We old -- not bold -- pilots need to stick together!
