I'm not sure how economical a motel would be. Last year's MidMo meet kept on till after 3:30AM! I'll bring a tent and an air mattress just in case I can't get floor space. If my wife decides to come to another meet, we'll get a motel room. Benjamin, if Sybil doesn't want to go, I could pick you up as I'll be going right past Decorah.

Tentatively, count me in please. Since my wife will be finishing graduate school in May, I am not entirely sure that I will be in STL past then (assuming she gets a better job than me out of the area). However, I probably will be so if anybody in the STL Metro area would like to converse about getting a carpool started PM me.

I am really getting exited about this get together!! Looks like there may be a couple of custom straight razors made as well as the opportunity to learn about restorations and scale making along with the honing and getting to see old friends and meet new ones. AWESOME!!

I was thinking I'd make this one, but Dad's having some health issues and I hate to leave him by himself overnight . Maybe if there is enough interest we could do a tri state get together...Ark, MO,OK?

Right now I'm planning on coming down Friday night and leaving Sunday. If it's alright with Lynn I'll prob just crash in a tent. There should be plenty of room for at least one other if not two people in it if needed.

Lynn was not kidding when he said his yard will not accomodate many tents. It's got a bit of a slope to it!

Given the number of people who will likely come to this, I wonder if it might be worthwhile to work out a group discount rate with one of the nearby motels? It might be possible to set up a bidding war among them if there are a sizable number of people involved. When the date gets closer and there is a better sense of the number of people coming, it might be worth it to try that. Of course, by then, Lynn might have come to his senses and rented out a conference hall!
