Thanked: 2209Hello all,
Finally I have time to write this! It has been a busy week.
First..... thanks to you Ben for organizing this! It takes a bit of guts to put these together for the first time and your generosity is much appreciated
I truly enjoy these Razor Meets, they are always enjoyable because I get to meet so many really good people. This time was no exception. Yes, the distance was long but not as far as St. Louis, Missouri or Ashville, North Carolina and I will make those drives again, God willing. So, when you guys want to have another Razor Meet please let me know & I will be there.
Utopian and Geezer, it is always good to have both your company and competence... and you saved my bacon!
It would have been difficult to handle this by myself. Thanks again guys.
Nate, I wish you the best in your endeavors and please let me know how the razors shave you. I really do need the feedback from you guys, it helps me improve my honing.
Obie, your are a treat, but what I like best about you is your wife's banana bread! My goodness that was great stuff! Please let me know how that Hess shaves you and if it needs to be tweaked a bit. I do need an honest opinion on that razor. It was surprisingly tough, tough steel. It should hold an edge for a long time... but.. if you ever ask me to hone a Hess 44 again......
Ben, you seem to have your act together. I will gladly work with you on any future Razor Meet.
To the rest of you guys whose faces I remember but names escape me I want to say thank you for attending this first Wisconsin Razor Meet. I am aware that you did not know what to expect but you had the willingness to give it a try anyway. I hope that you all came away with bit more knowledge about razors and honing and hopefully realize that you have a bunch guys interested in the same thing as you. That is my goal when I go to these Razor Meets.
You guys were great, lets do this again....soon!Last edited by randydance062449; 05-01-2011 at 03:41 AM.

Thanked: 21I did not get out all the ones I should have Randy, as I said helped greatly with a list. Others I watched as they joind SRP and sent out invites. Next time I will be more on top of it and plan time to sit down and get invites out. Of course having one meet out of the way word of mouth will help to spread the word for future meets.

Thanks Randy. I believe I posted to your profile shortly after the meet. I love the Genco- awesome shaver. Yes, you did a good job honing. The Genco you did shaves way better than the three I honed under supervision My honing is definitely better than it was before the meet, but I think I could use another month of hangin with you guys, I had so much fun, and learned so much! Cant wait till the next time we meet. I want to hear about your recent endeavors as well, id be very interested in trying out one of your hones. Enjoy your new day!

Thanked: 21Just wondering if any one has a way to get a hold of Ron/Utopian? His pm box is full again. I tried email but not sure if he got it. I have a question about a razor from the meet.
