Thanked: 0Schedule
Can you create an itinerary of sorts so we know by when to arrive and also what activities there will be (and what to bring for that matter)?
If there already is, can you re-post it?
Thanks

Thanked: 21This is something I would need help from all who are attending as to what each persons skills sets are and what they want to share. I know there will be honing and stropping. And I believe A microscope was mentioned. I think any of these instruction areas would be available throughout the day. As for what to bring I would say anything you want to show off. Or anything you have a question about. This is my first meet But i would think information would be available on all topics anytime. Is there something in particular you would like to see?
I guess I would ask the more experienced meet members to chime in on this.

Thanked: 2209What usually happens is guys bring their razors, hones, strops, DE's etc.
Sometimes a person will give a pinning demo and bring the necessary tools and a doming block to make convex washers from the flat washers.
At first there is usually a "meet & greet" time then show & tell. After that it just happens that someone starts honing/stropping/lapping stones etc. and questions and answers start flowing. Time goes really fast and before you know it it is 5-6-7 PM. A strict schedule of "events/workshops" usually does not happen unless there are numerous guys in attendance and the meet has been held several times at a location suitable for the workshops. I.E. for a grinding demo someone has to provide a suitable workshop and the grinder.
Based on prior razor meets I would suggest opening the doors at 9-10 am and planning on staying open til 8-9 pm.Last edited by randydance062449; 03-22-2011 at 07:16 PM.

This sounds great.
As of now I am a maybe.
I would love to come, but I have to check the schedule again and I will have to see how I am feeling and recovering from my recent surgery.

Thanked: 0I should be there; the timing is great bc in three weeks my first SR may need its first hone and i could use some help.
It's also close. I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago so Kenosha is about an hour thirty at most.

No one told me?! Of COURSE I'm gonna be there! Don't have much to bring, other than superb conversation and a sick wedge that Glen made custom for me. Thought about bringing my TM latigo/linen strop, but you guys have probably seen a thousand of those.
