I just got done with work...heading into a workout, then cooking dinner. Friday night's going to be an early evening for this old Moose.
Maybe sometime soon we can get some wings or something! Of course, there's always next weekend's meetup!

Everyone, we are getting close and this is going to be great!!! I can tell you that Mike (Moosiker) has done an outstanding job of getting us samples for our meet up and there is more to come.
If you need a room at the Highland Inn you should book it very quickly, I think our time frame has passed for the quaranteed block of rooms to be held for us.
Lynn himself is making the trip down for this one, and I know that no one wants to miss meeting up with him! No telling who will show up.
I am sure there will be some last minute chatter, but let me, Groovyd or Moosiker know if we can help.
See you all there!

More indeed! Country Heart (Homemade Soaps) sent a couple of great shave soaps. Queen Charlotte Soaps have provided a nice selection for you folks to appreciate - and Truefitt And Hill just arrived with a selection of Shave creams, balms, and pre-shave.
There are still several more vendors/companies sending stuff - we will probably have a wide selection to give away, some to just sample/smell, and who knows what else. \
Looking forward to meeting all our Southern Bretheren!

Thank you, Sir. It was my pleasure to make this brush to give away during our event. We will pick a time to draw a winning ticket for this brush on Saturday afternoon and post it beforehand so that everyone can plan on being there for the drawing.
I turned the handle out of Bronze Pearl Polyester and it is really nice in person. Rich and deep in the light and a 24mm Grade A Silvertip knot. The pic is from my i phone and doesn't do it justice. I guess you all will just have to come and see it.

Thanked: 2I am sorry to bother with this question but can I get a final agenda and spot for the meet up. I would like to come by and see the group. I greatly appreciate it. Sorry to have anyone repeat sending info. We are getting close and it is also Superbowl weekend. Just trying to plan.

There is no agenda. There is no hidden agenda. This is an informal meet up and is for us all to get together as shaving enthusiasts and share knowledge and products. I am sure that people will be coming and going most of the day and night on Saturday (and Sunday if you want). There will be some honing and stropping and I am sure that people with experiance will help with those that need it or want it.
We will raffle off lot's of goodies and samples to be had, and I have turned and donated a custom Badger brush that I will raffle off. No Charge, you will just get a ticket when you come in the door to the Eagle's Nest.
We will be at Manuel's Tavern on the corner of Highland and North Ave in Atlanta. We will be in a private room called "The Eagle's Nest" on Saturday March 4th and we have that room reserved from 11:00 am till 6:30 pm and we can probably still have it after that, but we always have the option of simply moving out if necessary to another spot / room / group of tables and you can stay until they close in the wee hours of the morning if you wish.
Take a moment and look back through this thread for lot's of good info, addresses and a good idea of what will take place.

I am sure there will be a National Convention sometime where they have all kinds of break outs, classes, presentations, etc. But, as WillN said, this is going to be an informal "get together" where folks will order some chicken wings, a beer or two, show off razors, smell a bunch of soap samples (I am bringing a bunch to check out), possibly win some need giveaways, and just have a good time.
I am looking forward to meeting more folks from the forum - to put a face to the avatar (although WillN looks pretty much like that).
Come on out either day. Stay as long as you can. Bring questions. We'll try to find answers.

Is anyone coming through Columbia, SC? I got my car in the shop and not sure it'll be ready by then. Hoping so, but not sure. Trying to have a back up plan.
