Great pictures! Wish I could have been there... You guys will have to show off your finished billets! I'd love to see what you made...

    What a great weekend!

Thanks for having us Mike, and thanks Randy for putting it all together.
Thanks everyone that was there for sharing your knowledge and experience.

I still haven't gotten around to developing my pictures. Look for them in a few hours.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanks to Mike and Randy for putting this together. Good, fun people! I learned a lot. There's only so much a video can do. I wish I could have come up for Sunday. Thanks again and I am sure I'll run into some of you at the local antique haunts.

Here is a link to the pics I took with the camera. The video will take a few days to edit and post.

Looks like a great time. Thanks for all the pictures everyone; it allows us distance impaired people to feel like we almost participated in all the fun.

    Default Here is mine

Here is a picture of mine. Taken with just my cheap phone but there is nothing to try to make look glamorous. It looks like a piece of broken heavy duty truck spring that I picked up out of the road ditch.

I think of it like a Lake Superior Agate that you find with the rind on. There might be a chip or 2 that let you have a glimpse of what might be inside. You won't know for sure until you take the saw and cut it open. Then it is time to use your skills to shape and polish it into a beautiful piece of jewelry.

I have been having a fun time today hauling it around to my coworkers and friends. I want to show them this chunk of steel and then when i have a beautiful razor to show them I can refer them to where it came from.

As I looked at that last picture I see included the pan and mug. That is from making a recipe for soap that Rod passed on to me. Right now I don't think that I can give a review tomorrow morning as my cheeks have had over 20 passes since Friday with 2 razors and 5 different sharpening techniques. I am starting to get a little burn. I am not on the front line for customers tomorrow so I think I might skip my morning shave!
