Aside from some holes of obvious origin, that skin will have little or no hair on the outside from his honing tests.

Watch for it – FOR SALE; genuine bear hide strop (one has a .277 hole).

Great meet, thank you Gerrit and Wanda for hosting and all your hospitality, you guys are great, got to meet some new friends and visit with those I knew. All the stuff there was awesome and I love my raffle win, a knife made by Mike, It is beautiful and I cant belive its mine, I never win those drawings but hit it big on that one THANK YOU! There really is nothing like going to a meet where there are such experianced people willing to give you all the help they can and get hands on tutoring. I got to work with Glen on his coticule and he honed on mine and gave me great advice on how to use it and some tricks to try on my PHIG. Also got to see him put new scales on a razor and watch how he pins them and found I have been whacking away at mine much to hard. Gerrits tricks on the lathe can only be learned by watching him at work and look forward to getting with him and making a video of him in action. Hope to see everyone again and talk razors.

so when and where is next meet? I check calendar and looks like not many members update calendar. I wish to join more meets but calendar is empty. I hope Gerrit will come up with next meet and I will be able to personally help him more as he and Wanda did and spend lot of time for preparation. Thank you for that ... again. See you soon.
