    It was a blast today!

I had a great time seeing some people again, and meeting lot's of new people.

Especially great seeing so many great collections of razors, whether shiny new customs, or patina covered razors from 1800's. And more stones than I could register; coti's, j-nats, mystery stones, eschers, synthetics.

Some of you guys came from out of state and even out of country. Bringing your great collections, and expertise to enrich our day.

Thanks to the guys who let me hone razors for them, I hope you get a great shave. Thanks to Nelson for letting me use your J-nats.

And Finally a big thanks to Jeff for being a great host, and all the members who made the day so great!

I have to echo the sentiments expressed above. Everyone there was a true gentleman - whether it was expressed as an experienced colleague sharing his experience and expertise to us noobs, genuinely expressing a shared interest in our collective hobby, or one-to-one teaching of the fine art of honing. Looking forward to the next one.

I'm sure I am speaking on behalf of all of us who are late to the game of straight razor shaving - a most sincere Thank You to those who so graciously and candidly passed along, what is sure to have been hard won wisdom.

It was wonderful to meet you all. I have learned a lot from this experience. I would like to thank Mjsorkin for honing my straight and magpie for guiding me through the honing process and then some... along with everybody who made this meet happen. I hope to see you all in future meets.

Thanks to Jeff for hosting a great meeting. It was a pleasure getting acquainted with everyone.

As a newbie with about six month's experience, the meeting was all that I hoped it would be and more. Can't wait until later this morning to try some of the tips you gave me.

Hope to see everyone again soon.

First shave with one of the Wade & Butcher razors I picked up at the meet up - what a HUGE difference! Can't wait to try the rest!

Really learned a lot and had a great time - thanks so much to all of you for sharing your knowledge and your collections...and helping me grow my own, now at 9 straights with the Norton kit and Naniwa en route.

Can we cover stealth collecting techniques next time? I know I'm not the only guy awaiting crucifixion from his wife...

Do all the shopping, by yourself, and keep the change in the glove compartment!
Then put the razors in the trunk and move them into the house gradually. I keep mine in a shoebox in the closet!

MJSorkin, I shaved today with the Boker that you sharpened for me at the meet. I just could not wait for the morning to do so. Anyway this is only my 7th shave and I could tell the difference in shaving with a properly honed blade. You did a good job and thanks for the advice about hones and honing. I learned much from you.
