Thread: Kansas City meet anyone?

Sham wishes to thank all the SRP members for coming and to let you know it’s always good to see everyone again and to meet some of the new folks. Anyone interested in wet shaving should try to attend one of your local events. You can learn more in a couple hours than you can in a couple years surfing the net.
Also, thanks to the donors for the great give a ways. It’s nice to see a new Str8 shaver come away with useful tools to help start them out. Excellent…
I nabbed a sweet little Fred Dolle razor from Tim “Oldblades” and scored a new Charlie Lewis “Spazola” custom brush (see below). I’ll post them on SOTD, along with some soap Mark “TaranStone” gave to me. His knowledge of DEs is encyclopedic. See you next time.

Thanked: 172Wonderful times
Sorry I did not get to post till now, but PC was giving me problems.
Big Thank You to Kelly for getting me to and from the airport. Thanks to Randy and Ron for letting me bunk up with them.
Now to the meet, the knowledge and teaching of all were flowing almost as much as the Vodka. Just kidding the former was much more. As said in an earlier post, if one can attend a get-to-gether like this the learning experences are abounding.
Ray, the food delicious .
Lastly but, formost to Sham a GREAT BIG THANK YOU for sharing your time, knowledge, hospitality, and tremendous cooking abilities with us. You have to be one of the greatest men i've known when it comes to the giving of one's self for the interests of others.
To all the members I had not met before, it was a pleasure.
May God bless you all aka 'YA'LL"

Just got home to Colorado this afternoon and I finally let my wife out of the car. BTW, she got a lot of books read. Guess I could start a new thread about what your wife read while you were at a straight razor meet.
Seriously, I had a great time and still have a smile on my face. What fun. A huge thanks to Sham for hosting and his hospitality. Thanks to Ray for all the work on the BBQ and thank you to the donors for all the giveaways. I loved meeting everyone and all the learning and discussing that happened. I have been blessed to have met everyone and glean something from their knowledge base. Until next time!!!
