What terrible news, what a great spirit, his posts were always full of humour and wit, he was a wealth of knowledge and always a great friend to the community here, what utterly tragic news.
My condolences to his family and may he have the best shave den, stocked with everything he could want, in his great mansion in the sky. Rest in Peace Neil.

Terribly sad news. Many condolences to Neil's family and friends. And a very, very big thank you to Neil for all that he shared with us. He will be sorely missed.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

A truly sad day. Neil was a great guy, no one quite like him. In correspondence with him, I got to know him quite well.
He had a wealth of practical knowledge and so many crazy stories to relate. He had a way of putting you in his shoes as he told of his escapades and adventures.
His mind was amazing as was his wealth of historical and scientific smarts. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him and even by those who did not.
His health was bad for a very long time, filled with pain and frustration. I am grateful that his suffering has ceased.
The mold was broken as God made Neil. Rest Easy, My Friend.
Final Regards,
TomLast edited by sharptonn; 07-09-2015 at 06:11 PM.

Thanked: 3225It was a privilege to have all too briefly known Neil if only through his knowledgeable posts on SRP. I'll think of him every time I use the strop he made for me. Bless him, may he RIP. My sincerest condolences to his family for their loss.
