Default God Speed Richard aka Geezer

Just got the news via FB of his passing

It is with great sadness that I am passing on the news of Richard Charles Penney's Passing. He died on February 27th 2022. He will be greatly missed by his two children and all of his friends that he made around the world.
He did not wish for a funeral or memorial service so we are at a loss and with covid part of the equation we are unsure about safety for everyone. Please no gifts or flowers they are not needed. Everything has been taken care of.
It was his belief that end of life should be a celebration of the heart. If you are inclined to gift or give in his memory you could do it with the thought of Richard in your heart in honor of him take him with you for a moment and go out in the world this month and do one wonderful deed for someone else it could be as simple as buy a coffee for someone ( he loved coffee and sharing his love with the world would be perfect to see hundreds of coffees gifted in his memory) then send him off in thought and blessing!
If you are so inclined use this as a reminder that life won't last forever: start that one thing you have kept putting off in your own life regardless of reason start now. Be it art, or going back to school, learning an instrument you always had wanted to play. Try a new hobby it is never to late to try something that has been in your thoughts. do not have regrets. The world needs more love right now and more connection right now. This is the greatest way to show him and our family your love and care for Richard Is by loving your life, truly living it and giving to others. We know the world we want to live in lets make it so. Feel free to share memories or thoughts and if you do gift a coffee and want to share that a cup went out into the world in his name that would be great.
I will update if there are any changes. Blessings, love and light to you all!
    Tara

That brought a tear to my eye.
I was very fond of Geezer and felt him to be quite kind and giving.

Richard was, I dare say, loved by everyone. He was always humble and unassuming, honest, generous and gracious.
He was a great man and we are all very lucky to have been touched by him no matter in how big or how small a way.

He may have left us, but his spirit will remain with us.

I knew Richard for many years. His health was poor these past few years. May he rest in peace.

The news of Richard's death brought a few tears and sadness for me. I always enjoyed reading what Richard had to say on the forum as much as for the way he put things as for what he had to say. RIP Richard, you will be remembered and missed.

Truly a sad, sad day. I only met him once but it was a joy.

He is missed, and will continue to be missed. God rest his sole.

Travel well old friend. Hope to see you on the other side. He was a genuinely good soul.
