Randydance
My friend and mentor passed this morning after a long battle with cancer.
His contributions to SRP are many and varied. He tutored people in his home and herded cats at the meetups at Charlie?s.
He was always willing to help. RIP in my friend

This is an enormous loss.
I am truly at a loss for words.
I will only say that to me Randy personified SRP, always.
Rest In Peace, Randy.

A great loss has occurred here at SRP as Randy was a great mentor and a great friend.
When you see my profile, you'll see me sitting in a chair---Randy took that picture while I was a guest at his home. During my stay he took me to see Geezer and we had a wonderful visit.
Those were good times and he is missed. Rest in peace my friend. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

So sad to see this come to pass. Randy was a sage and solid friend to all. I was honored to meet him and spend some time.
I learned pretty fast to pay attention as he spoke. He was full of life's experiences, honest, and helpful.
Quite an interesting man, he shall be greatly missed. Will remember him always as one of this forums greatest members.
My condolences to all of his friends and family.

I rest my case.

I am very sorry to hear this. Randy generously welcomed me to his house and showed me the basics of razor honing and stropping.
May he rest in peace.

Very sad news…
I was very fortunate to have spent time with Randy several times in Texas and at Dave’s meets in Wisconsin. He was a wealth of shaving knowledge, a truly great guy and a friend.
Rest in peace my brother…

I have followed Randy for some time back to R&S,

So sorry to hear this news. I never got to meet Randy in person, only through interaction on SRP. I always found him to be considerate and truly intrrested in being helpful to others. As much as he knew he always seemed humble about what he didn't know and eager to learn more. The world needs more men like him. Sadly now it is at a deficit.
