Thanked: 202Just wait until you get hold of it, lap it, test it and you will see. From some of the comments here one could thing that first it would need sixty pages risk assessment and then to be used as paperweight.

Hey - I first noticed the crack down the middle. People ask for opinions here, that's what they are, opinions. In two pics, I saw a crack all the way across the face of the stone, and another crack down the entire side of the stone. That's why I mentioned while honing, the blade could catch.
Now if it can be lapped until the crack is gone on the surface, great! If the crack on the side is just on the edge of the side, also great.
Fact is, opinions were asked and they were given...the pics show a crack on the face and the side, and until it's actually in hand and can be looked at we won't know. I hope it's superficial, no-one want to see someone get a bad item.
Just my opinion...hopefully it will work out for the best

Thanked: 202Why would you lap the crack until is gone if it is not catching? I would prefer to try it first after normal laping, evaluate and then decide if it is good for me and razors or something else.

Thanked: 1587See? Coticules just cause trouble and controversy wherever they go.
If I were you, I'd wait until I got it in my hands before worrying. Absolute worst case scenario is that you use the crack to create a natural combo rubbing stone on a shorter coti combo.
Good luck,
