I have two suitcases were I keep my hones if I know they're not in for use in a while (which is very rare) Otherwise I keep them in a cabinet in the living room.

Thanked: 13245Hone Chest
The wife finally allowed me to move out of the Shave Den and hone in front of the TV so I got the storage chest in the Dinning Room, many thanks go to the day that Speedster/Mark came up from Spokane to sit down and learn to hone.. I took the chest over on that day and haven't relinquished to this day
Top shelf that I added holds the Chosera set which is my most used, lapping plates, and stone holders, tools, Nagura/Slurry stones..
Bottom holds the Shapton, Norton, and Naniwa SS sets, and Finishers,
All the oddball stuff that I haven't touched in 2 years is upstairs tucked away in the cabinet...

Thanked: 23I hone and sharpen at the sink, I put my hones and wooden strops on the top of the refrigerator. There is a cupboard above that, so there is a 8 inch space that is too small to really hold anything, except a bunch of hones and strops.

Thanked: 202I don't believe him with ammount of hones gone through his hands. Unless the cupboard is made out of solid oak and bolted to the bedrock.

I have a tool box for my stones and I can take them anywhere.
