    i found this metal and cork storage at IKEA. it's pretty solid and called the kvissle $20

    Put old cigar boxes to use. I'm glad I kept them around b/c they work well for storing hones and nagura/slurry stones. Pad them up with some felt or even bubble wrap.

    I keep my norton 1k, 4k/8k, my king 1000, and my cnat continually in water in a Tupperware box with a couple capfuls of bleach

    after use I dry with paper towels and put them back in the boxes they came in. I use naniwa ss stones 1K-3/8K 12K. so far they seem ok but it's only been 3 months since I got them. I wonder about long term storage. you know once you have all your razors honed you really don't use them that often.

    Since it just me and the cats, I keep mine naniwa's in the original boxes in the cabinet under the kitchen sink along with optics and tape. I hone there so it is very easy for access. The cats don't complain much as long as they get fed on time...
