It seems near worthless junk. You could politely ask the seller if you could retract your bid but simply not paying is pretty bad.

Thanked: 24Vintage Straight Edge Razor Sharpening Stone Hone Lot CA | eBay
this was my first gamble which turned out synthetic (looking at the pictures now it seems so obvious...), but I only had a small coti before this so now this is my bevel setter
and I agree with the guys here, at least contact the seller and tell him you've made a mistake, or clean it up and make some scetchy pictures and try to resell it as two different hones (also not realy the right thing to do but still, at least you did the effort)

No worries. They mined millions of those coticules. They are still. There will be another one right around the corner.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Hunter don't be swayed by these guys,,,if you want that hone, then the sky is the limit.
That hone just needs a little TLC,,,all hones need a home & that one has your name on it.
The way I see it hunter, you're getting "2" hones for the price of 1.

Thanked: 3164Two hone or not two hone - that is the question.
Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die, to sleep—
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause.
Regards,
Neil

I wouldn't be so fast to give up on that stone ... I was looking at the chimney, and there is a brick missing .. Looks like a perfect match!

Thanked: 44Its only a gamble if your willing to pay for it, if your not its called lack of integrity. You were hoping to snatch an expensive stone for pea nuts, which you may have, even the guys that know their hones are not 100% sure what it is. Pay the man and see if your "gamble" has paid off or not.
