    Definately not as smooth as my arkansas surgical black. And for reference, this website seems intent upon turning every picture i upload upside down, so the black strip across the top of that picture is the side of my stone, and the text being the reflection of the surface.

    Oh OK, you're right, you have the better hone. Better than me as I can't tell how smooth a stone would be by just a picture.

    with water it's prefinishing with oil I would say it's finishing. Cause with oil I get a much closer shave.

    He cut it in half the long ways made it be 12by 1 1/2. I really like honing on it.
    I really like the width of it. Though I don't end up using the whole length.
