I recently picked up a Shapton Glass 2k... Used it again last night instead of Chosera 1k and have to say I love it. Cuts super fast..surprisingly fast.

Agreed, I really like the Shapton Glass 2K. When I use the Shapton 500 I skip the 1K and go 2K.

I replaced my Chosera 1k with a Shapton Glass 2k.. The SG2k is amazingly fast and smooth and indeed a great bevel setter. I do see room for an 800 or 1k for really heavy duty work, and I have a 1k in my cart right now (just waiting to sell my NIB 10k... I was doing some late-night shopping and put a 10k in my cart instead of the 1k and didn't realize it until the stone arrived. I don't need the 10k).

I'm also looking for a 2k stone to make the jump to coticule. Shapton pro or naniwa traditional are both the same price for me. Maybe a 3k or 4k shapton glass would make the jump easier? I've got the king 1k as bevel setter.
