Agreed, I have what will do the job but none of the romance of the naturals. Frankly, I cannot afford them.

Today i start to hone a rasor entirely on my new Cretan hone . 27 kiebitz garantie - by gebremde Solingen - weyer .
The hole procedure last .........10 minutes .Hahaha i began with a slurry , and deluting it , like on a coticule dilucote . after it waz sharp and ready on a water i put some very thin oil for sewing mashine , on the hone and continue with the light strokes .
Stroping and shaving , what can i say amaizing sharpness and speed . I like it a LOT . I will buy miself a bunch of those amazing stones , eah .

Picked up a few Cretan hones during my stay in Crete. I even found a nice little coticule at the knife shop. I was able to set a bevel on a an old eBay full hollow in less than 5 minutes. I will have to see how it performs with other dull razors, but if the results are similar, then I may be putting my chosera 1k into early retirement.
