    Yeah I'm satisfied with my hones too. It was fun to try different ones but I went back to using a silicon carbide bevel-setter and hard Arkansas finisher. Those two stones are what I learned to sharpen with and are both familiar and effective for me.

    I upgraded from about 5 years with the King 1K/6K to a Shapton Pro 1.5K & 5K last summer. I'm happy with the Shaptons, after the 5K I use the one coticule I've kept and/or an Okudu Asagi from Alex. Alongside my well worn DMT 325 this cover pretty much all my sharpening needs.
