Anything non porous would do! I looked up jasper to see if it's any higher in SG, but it is also just sub 3.0 (not surprising, I guess).

Maybe some lead ingots. I think lead SG is 11 or 12

Somewhere, someone is sitting with a pile of large stolen coticules cursing the fact that the edge they're getting isn't as keen as they'd like.

Might as well go whole hog. Anybody got any depleted uranium lying around?

suehiro markets stones that they call "chemical stones", and it's implied in some catalogs that there is some physical and chemical cutting going on at the same time.

These uranium stones could be called "atomic hones".

So the potential for close shaves and weapons of mass destruction from the same rock?

Someone will have to get right on that.

    All right, back on track...

The thief should required to serve as an integral component of the detonation device.

    Better?

Actually, I don't recall a warning, only an opinion. I agree with the general sentiment but don't agree that anyone has made light of what has happened. I believe that most of us who have dealt with Ardennes Coticule have a great deal of respect for them and levity in this thread does nothing to diminish that.

Obviously I take the robbery seriously and agree with stiff consequences should the culprit be caught.

But I ask you, Isn't that like saying don't joke about Rob Ford because of the seriousness of Canadian politics.
Don't make jest of any serious topic?

And yes of course I will be vigilant with regard to sales of coticules
