A large theft occurred at the factory.

Hello Everyone,

Ardennes is not a very frequent visitor of forums, so I was hoping that my few
posts which I write could all be positive… but this one is not. :-(

Tomorrow we discovered that someone broke in. They forced a backdoor, came in
our stockroom and have stolen all of our large Coticule's and money!

So we would like to ask to keep an eye open and report to us if you happen to
find a deal on the internet that is to good to be true. If you can mail us a
valid lead, we will thank you appropriately!

Francis, our workmen, worked very hard to make these stones and he is very
sad! and also angry and really want to find the guy who did this!

They knew what to steal and where to find it. So we think it's a customer that
visited us yesterday and came back last night. It's a french-speaking small
Belgian men who was on holiday nearby.

The sizes they have stolen are:

250 x 60/ 200 x 75/ 200x 50/ 200 x 40/ 175 x 50/ 175 x 40/ 150 x 40 and a
couple of bout 9

That is infuriating. I wonder if there is any chance that any of the coticules had been photographed? That would be about the only way to definitively identify the particular hones. I doubt the thief would be dumb enough to try to sell them right away but you never know.

I suppose everything has a value, but stealing Coticules in Belgium with a limited but knowledgeable market - doesn't suggest a criminal mastermind.

Strange. I hope they nab the guy and get their goods & $ back.

Don't worry guys,,, if there are coticules floating around out there,,, Gooser & Jimmy will find them,,,,

Some people would steal the eyes out of a blind man for Pete sake.

just crazy !! not only is this sick , but I have always wanted to visit the mine and because of some idiot trying to make a few bucks this could do away with the opportunity of the coticule enthusiast to be able to pay a visit and see such a site !!

in my eyes a thief is held high on my list of despicable people !! I hate when people think they can take from others or stores ... gggrrrrr catch him/her and cut off there hands for all I care !!!

Eyes are staying open on all the Boards, seems the Community thing is Working all information shared!!!
