Duh, here is a traveler's boxed "Coticule" on a covered paddle, Finally....
~Richard
The stone is about 1.5" x 4.25" in size. It does eave a nice edge for shaving with the final strokes on water only, after dilution.Last edited by Geezer; 11-03-2015 at 01:28 PM.

Trying to decide which is better. On the one hand it would be alright to have a stand alone thread devoted to the coticule, and another to various naturals, on the other hand it would dilute the attention paid from one to the other. It would also be cool to have a thread devoted to all types of vintage hones, all in one place. Your call ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I like pretty pictures so naming the thread is up to the owner!

Ok now.....great decision....
Vintage Boxed "Genuine Blue Sharpening Stone" not sure about it till now. Its quite fine, but probably not the best to be used on straight razors. It leaves a very sharp but also harsh edge....
