Not a stone for a daily shave in the end, but i had some days where i just wanted to get the feeling from Lorraine Rouge.....

I more often use it in the prefinish state and finish with other finishing stones. But Lorraine itself is capable to be a finishing stone...it depends also on the individual quality.

Iam always surprised about the polishing qualities which Lorraine leaves on the bevel..

You can push the edge further more with water glycerine or oil.
It's why I want to do the second rotation. I'm wondering if the sand blasted effect wasn't been helped by a few deeper chosera scratches. Next time it'll be polished before it goes to the La Lorraine. That way I'll know a little more about what it's finish can look like.

The bigger wedge I was originally playing with will be done on it as well. Just not while I'm testing things. That toe needs time to get right on the strops so it's not the right razor to be testing with.

The next one on it will be a Joseph Rodgers near wedge. It holds a superb edge, and the steel is damn hard so it'll be a good test.
