Thanked: 246The corner will work too, but you'll still need to round out into a larger radius. You want to decrease the surface area but it can't be too small or it will easily scratch too. It's a bit of a "just right" situation.

Just want to share my opinion on Vermio.
I try to finish one straight on Vermio with WD40 and I find that I like more finished on plain water. Now have to try finish on glycerine.
On WD40 was littlebit on harsh side.
I realy like this stone. And its definitely keeper.

Last night I finished one razor "FANGER 500" on Vermio with glycerine and shave after that was absolutely fantastic.
I was trilled.... I'm still trilled and excited that I have one piece of this amazing stone.

Also I did take some micro photos
This is photo of edge finished with Purple Llyn Melynllyn Welsh Slate12K
After that I add one layer of tape and did around 200 x strokes on Vermio on water
Hair is from my little doughter 3 years old and she have very thin hair.
Later I go back to 6k and 10k and then Vermio with glycerine but I didn't have time to take photos.Last edited by davorvfr; 03-17-2016 at 01:43 PM.

Thanked: 3215The edge appears to be micro chipping, could be the stone or the razor, it does have some bad pitting.
Would like to see the finished edge. Perhaps need to be finished on a good synthetic 12k then the Vermio.
If it is a new Welsh Slate, it is not 12k.
