    Still baffled by this hone.
    It produces amazing edges.
    Still no closer to actual stone composition.
    Unable to connect yet with a Geologist type but that may not yeild any more than it is a slate anyway.
    Still searching...

    Only able to connect with an amatuer rock hound, he thinks its Quartz related.
    Im quite sure this thing is natural. Still produces beautiful edges. Most steels like it.
    I believe it is a slate type myself. I've never seen another one, can't imagine why.
    Its a great stone and supposedly from the U.S. You would think there would be more.
