I received the hone in April of this year.

My daughter-in-law is German and I asked her to buy the stone for me. The stone came direct from MST in Germany. I don't think I got special stock. I think I must have just been lucky. My daughter-in- law said that the Company had told her that normally they do not deal direct with the public. So I was lucky that she managed to make the purchase for me.

Chris was busy snagging this one earlier tonight. I'm happy with the price I paid. I'll be eager to test it against an unlabeled vintage Thuringian hone I have that works very well. I think my HAD is satisfied, then the stones keep pulling me back in!!!

Nice snag! It's a Dark Blue Escher, the lower end Escher stone. I hope that it works for you.

They do sell to the public if you ask them kindly. Corresponding with them in German does help.

Welcome to SRP. If you post the item number of your ebay acquisition perhaps someone can give an educated answer. Without photos we are in the dark as it were.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
