I got air mail shipping, took 3 days to go from Japan to New York. Unfortunately, the post office lost it for two weeks.

Was it the post office or customs?

maybe customs. USPS could track the label number, and it never advanced past NY for a couple weeks. I asked at the local office, and the woman there suggested I wait til after that weekend, and they would check on it. It ended up arriving that Monday, so I did not find out what the hold up was. The package was registered mail, it should have been first on the trucks at arrival.

I have this notion in the back of my head that if I had asked about it a week earlier, it would have arrived a week earlier - the postage goblins were just waiting to get a rise out of me.

I paid for the expedited shipping. The only way to insure my purchases.

I'm glad you mentioned him as i was bout to post bout this as I saw one of the auctions. I checked his feedback and while I've seen couple where he sold the same stone and one cracked and the other buyer never got his. Sure others were satisfied-not to disparage the seller but it sure doesn't give one peace of mind when purchasing. Add to that he claims I should be able to get the package at latest 23 days?

I had Jim send me package that arrived in week. Please tell me whats wrong with that picture. Don't say "dude's got a business and probably sending off thousands of items..." That's irrelevant. If I paid for something, I expect it to be shipped and not have to worry about receiving the item or not.

    Carry on... :P

if you go with the free shipping then you get 2 weeks before the item is at your door if you live in the US. I got mine with the free shipping, and he shipped it ~ 10 days after I made payment. I am expecting the stone in the next 2 weeks.

I paid for a Dragon's Tongue on Oct 23. Not here yet.

I paid for my Aoto on Oct 30 with another stone and expedited shipping.

I Paid for my Nakayama through his website on Nov. 1.

    The race is on.

I can't help but mention these are the nakayama I ordered:

    330mate 天„*Ÿ *Ÿ 天„*Ÿ販売 •‚ž‚ŒŠ˜* *œ山

I think this is Asagi Karasu

I think this is Kiita Najishi with some Momiji

Anyone got his aoto from 330mate yet? I received mine today, spent a few hours with it and am about 85% sure mine is of no use for razors because of its (lack) of quality.

There are many rust-colored veins and spots in mine that are much harder than the stone, stand out and chip the edge. Also, it is quite slow for a bevel setter IMO.
