Jimmy what are you using as a saw in that picture?
I don't recall where I got the frame, Snap On I think, with a carbide coated wire blade. I just use a regular hacksaw blade on any I've done since. Might take a few blade but in the long run it is quicker.

Is the hybrid side a better polisher? In my brain I'm thinking do the whole slurry dilution method on the yellow side, 50 yellow water only, 50+ water hybrid would work well.

Very nice, Gary. I actually said "Wow" out loud when I saw a picture of it.

The Burton Series is a new classification of stone from Ardennes. As you know, currently Ardennes has been selling coticules based on size, shape, and appearance considerations and there has been a lot of variation from stone to stone. Bart has been working with them to develop a classification of stone based on special performance qualities (speed, smoothness, etc.)

We agreed to make a selection of hones that stand out for certain properties and they'll be sold in a box with special label, that states a serial number, name of the layer, and some specifics. This could be hones with remarkable speed, or remarkable fineness, or special figuring, or for whatever reason they stand out the pack. Further details are not knows at this point, except that this one will carry seriall n°OOO1. The price tag will be accordingly.

LOL I know what you mean Rich, I would love to have that one too. OTOH, I am happy for Gary that he got that beauty. The funny part is that if it was the old days they probably couldn't even sell that coticule. The average guy would say what is all that 'stuff' in there ? It take rock connoisseurs like us to want something with that kind of figuring. A spectacular stone.

May be . not sure yet i will be testing and comparing in the next month. The sahve of normal side was smooth enough .

I;ve honed on both sides and the hybrid side feels real nice
