I normally use mine in conjuction with honing anyway so I don't think I'll ever have a problem. It's amazing how long a good Barber hone will keep your edge keen....
We have assumed control !

That's a tall order for those of us who are only appentice shavers approaching journeyhood all too slowly. Why some of us may only have 20 or 30 hones and strops and while knowing the difference between the two, are not yet adept at their use much less figuring out what color paste we can use to festoon and adorn their faces.
Now, can I put green paste on a yellow stone? The colors seem to work well together.

I think it would be more accurate to say the forum is always a better source of differing opinions than the Wiki or Faq sheets,,,
But there again we have a differing opinion And yes somehow lots of opinion slips into the Wiki - the vigilant are rewarded with the burden of correcting error
