4k level, 6k level, 8k level etc edge?
How fast or slow?
Is it practical hone on the stone days to make One straight razor shave ready?

It has been Long time conversation about those Factors.
So much variations among coticules.
Some will cut fast enough and put good edge (Mostly old coticules Why? i haven't able to figure it out yet but sooner or later i will.)
Some will act very very slow but will make final edge finer.
(don't use this stone as a sharpening purposes)
Some will act even 4k level and gritty sound you will have while you hone the razor.
Basically using coticule is similar to put yourself Inside Jungle without Compass.
that is why we recommend people start with Synthetic stones learn how to hone razors and how stone should sharpen the blade.
After that you can decide . You your own.
