You know the Star Trek (TNG) movie with the Borg Queen...The guy that invents "Warp Drive" plays a song on the Juke Box, and the lyrics sound like..."Shoobie doobie"

Now I'm really hoping I get this new job.... "We wants the preciousssss, we neeeeedssss sharp and smooth razorses!"

On a slightly less bizarre note (and not typing as Gollum), I'm more curious than ever about hardness, having only 1 Jnat currently (whose properties have changed a lot since having to lap out an inclusion--different slurry color even).

I know it depends a lot on the stratum & not just the mine, but how do these Oozukus & Shoubudanis compare to the Nakayama quarry for hardness?
I was under the impression that the reason stones from that quarry tend to go for so much is their reputed hardness relative to lots of the others.

Each mine can produce hard stones, however Oozuko and Shobudani seem to produce more hard stones than other mines.
I have tried a lot of Nakayamas and only one was close but still not as hard as my two hardest Oozukos.
I do not know why Nakayama is the most popular mine, may be the guys that live in Japan know something about that.

does hardness or softness of the stone has anything to do with quality of the edge they made?
    Personally i can't find yet?
