Thanked: 26I was going by the shiny top, gray color and whitish streaks on the side. It also looks to be soft by the scratches visible. And the apparent size. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is what I believe is a Brown Thuringian. Although the base colour on mine differs, it has those similar orange/pink markings. An authority on hones has used mine and believes it to be a Thuringian.
