Thanked: 993Nice blog. I love the Charnley you have.....I'm hunting for one right now, and I'm a little envious of yours.

Thanked: 2209Thanks a bunch for doing this! That took a lot of time and money. I was surprised at the scratch pattern from the Rozutec and was very pleased that you included the Silkstone because I have 2 of them (not for sale).

The Rozsutec edge seems to have a mix of very fine scratches and a couple random coarser ones. The stone itself appears to still have coarse scratches from lapping although I don't know if that really affects honing.

The stone is super hard and i think fine too i just have to figure out how to use it, i will try to smoothen it more and maybe try it with oil !
It is very nice stone to play with for that price you cant go much wrong here, I think in power and grit it is very similar to Turkish

Thanked: 35Maxim, I checked the results. To me the result of the norton
8000 stone are taken from a closer distance which makes the
result look more scratch.
The shoubudani asagi picture is taken from slightly more distance
and the ozuko asagi from even more distance.
It's too difficult to compare IMHO.
