Lately, it's the Chosera 1k. People either love or hate Shapton. All the honemeister's agree, The Chosera 1k is the prefered bevel setter, until something better comes along....
    We have assumed control !

What zib said. I've had 'em both and the chosera 1k is my default bevel setter now.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yeah, I really like my Chosera. It's got all the cutting of the Shapton GS 1k with the smoothness of the Naniwa SS's.

It's pretty much my default bevel setter now as well..!

    Chosera 1k is a must-have in a honing quiver.

Nice soft scratch pattern from the Chosera 1K with hardly any micro chipping evident.
Used a few times so far to set bevels and very consistant results, could almost shave off this edge.

Well, it seems we all agree on the excellence of the Chosera
The speed of it combined with the smoothness makes it pretty much a perfect bevel setter in my book!

I've got a Shapton 1k and it's an OK bevel setter but not great. I actually prefer my 600/1200 DMT.
