ok review of the covenant stone first looks when the stone is dry its has cream and bulish streaks when wet the cream streaks look beige and the bluish streaks look grey very unique looking stone the razor i choose to use is a genco easy aces hone started with a naniwa 2k then a shapton 5k a naniwa 8k snow white then a sgs 16k and finished on the covenant stone with water i like to go higher in grit when testing a stones finish on a razor i think its faster to max out the stone ability so i did 50 round trips stroped and shaved the edge was very sharp it took all the harshness out of the edge that was left by the sgs but i felt that the stone had more to give so i waited three days and another 50 round trips and that was it im sure i got the best edge that stone could offer in the end the stone gave a comfortably shave no harsh edge it reminded me of a coti's edge meaning you would have to try hard to cut yourself over all my experience buying this stone from tc was great he is very knowledgeable about his craft i got a great stone at a great price he worked with me to make sure i was happy his craftsmanship is top notch which can be seen in his work from the the box that fits the stone perfectly to the stone that he harvest himself and the other tools he make's razors and knives i'm now in the process of getting a custom japanese style razor made by tc i highly recommend him to anyone who would be interested in a covenant stone or razor my dealings with tc have been pleasant he has always shown me respect thanks for all the questions i hope everyone has enjoyed this thread
