My latest acquisition , a beautiful and very big Ohira Renge Suita, from Maksim @ JNS.
The stone has the purple renge but also a spot with black renge, very unique and beautiful. Already lacquered the sides and back.

A green Aoto- very hard stone that produces very little slurry on its own.

In group with my red and blue Aoto, red being the softest blue the hardest of the three.

    Default Kouzaki

A very nice finisher, and a super fast stone as well.
It can take 1k edge all the way with no issues.

    Hi Maxim,

    these are very interesting stones.
Could you please tell a bit more about them?
How old? From which mine? What is written on the lables?
I ask because they don't show the typical ozuku stamp:

Here are my 2 Shoubudani's. First with the ruler is a Shoubudani Karasu Lv5 with the ruler and the second is a new addition a Shoubudani Asagi Lv5+ with Asano Nagua set. I am just starting to figure out how to use these after 12 months of experimenting. I am a believer when it comes to using natural stones.Name: IMG_0301.jpg
