This is my Ozuku Asagi 155mm 50mm 20mm, prefect size for me. I use it solely as a finisher with a tomo nagura. Still playing with it but I'm getting some very nice results so far. Here is a pick before lapping.

The only one I have so far! Nakayama Asagi, bought from Stefan....
Once Alex returns from Japan I will have more!
With one of my favorite razors.

I bring my solitary J-nat to the thread, a Nakayama Asagi that I got from a friend and fellow SRP member some months back. Puts a superb finished edge on an already shave ready razor. Using his photos to me because I'm too lazy to take new ones and couldn't do better anyhow. The stone is 4" at the widest point and 6" at the longest

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 13245My one and only
This one is a Nakayama Midori Nashiji. possibly from the Tomae Stratum for all you J-HAD freaks that might mean stuff, for me it means I like the stone, after I tried it out...
Size is just under 8 inchs long x just over 2 3/4 inches wide
I use it only for finishing, I have used it with a couple of different Nagura but honestly the best results for me come with using it with it's own slurry generated by using a DMT 325 and letting that go to almost dry as I hone...

That is a great looking stone and if I am not mistaken it is a tomae strata stone and I am sure it is an old stock asagi with that fine complex color scheme leading to a vague green tint on a grey overcast. Here is a photo that shows some variation in the color group.

Here is my humble submission to the club.
Left is an Oozuko Traveller, very fast and hard. Still dialing in the possibilities.
Right is my Nakayama Asagi (?) which is medium fast but oh so smooth an edge. Don't let the odd shape fool you. This is my finest stone and one I hope to learn from for decades.
In the back are my nagura team: from left to right, Botan Mejiro,Tenjyo, Koma, and a kiita tomonagura.
I have lots of fun with these and highly recommend anyone interested in studying, learning, and practicing the art of honing, to get a natural stone. Even if it's a coticule which, as I learned just tonight, is nothing to sneeze at.

That looks like a particularly fine and pure stone, if it is a fast cutter then you have a winner all the way. alx
