Thanked: 156Bark looks more like nakayama with the black under the orange skin...i have a similar one that is a stamped nakayama khan kiita....stamp is on the long side...It should be hard with a creamy feedback and a fast cutter...
Sorry for the bad pics..the light wasn't the best.Last edited by ovidiucotiga; 05-05-2017 at 10:30 PM.

Don't know. He had no mine listed. Just Honyama Nashiji. The kawa is sparkling in the sun like Alex G. describes on the Nakayama but since I am new at this I wouldn't dare to make any guesses.
The one that I have seen that's similar is a stone that Mainaman posted last year on this thread. Page 49.Last edited by alex1921; 05-05-2017 at 11:24 PM.

Bump to jnat Club!
A really nice arrival, a Kato-era iro maruka, considerably worn but most of the stone is 20mm thick and it's hard. And fine. And pure, no lines, no goma, nothing sparkles in this stone at all. And it's a superclass razor hone, a jnat that you look for.
Cheers, Steve

Thanked: 90This arrived today. Narutaki Akane tomae 4+. Very red not sure if it would still be an Iromono or even murasaki. Seems fast and fine about to find out how it finishes. 6 1/2 " × 2 3/4".

Bump to jnat Club! Not a huge addition but a pretty one, a mostly shiro (white) hato (soft) uchigumori. These stones are usually grey with maybe some white spots/areas, but this one is mostly white with some grey areas. The renge is purple and pink, dense, and the white background really makes it pop. The slurry when I lapped it was actually more red than pink!
Cheers, Steve
