Amazon is one of the best customer service companies I've ever dealt with. I once bought a GPS unit for my car and was updating the maps online. The directions said not to turn the unit off during the process, but I thought I missed a step and turned it off anyway. I fried the unit. I emailed Amazon and admitted it was all my fault, and they sent a replacement anyway...overnight. Also, they told me not to worry about returning (free of charge, of course) the original item until after I received the replacement. I had 30 days to make the return.

Amazon has simple, stress-free, and absolutely superb customer service. I never hesitate to buy at Amazon.

Don't forget to lap them first, I found my Norton to work best after removing the first 1/32" to 1/16" of material. however YMMV.

Me too. I've been dealing with them for years. The few times (2) I received an inferior product, ususally from a market place vendor, my money is quickly returned. I'm surprised your having this much trouble. Was the vendor out of stock, or the product on backorder?

Gugi is correct as well, You can't go wrong with SRD. Don always gives you first class service.
    We have assumed control !

Most new stones aren't truly flat out of the box, so lapping should be done to every new stone.

Yes that was one of the first things Lynn told me over the phone! i will lap the stones then use them! I'm guessing when the vendor was packing it they forgot to put the 4k/8k stone.. once i pay off the set i'll be getting an Ipad!! lol
