Right, but what is being said is to please consider the member(s) who were watching this before and hoping to score a good stone at a good price. Most any time an auction is linked on here it sells for more than it probably would have if it weren't linked.

kamikazeproject, you're only making it worse, I think you should have been looking for the words "my bad" or "sorry".

There are in fact a LOT of good razor related deals to be found at Ebay but you have to put in the time to search. I for example have a closet filled with rare stones to proof I'm right. Btw most of the stones I see being sold as Llyn Idwals look like the Grecian Hone.

Next time if you're not planning to buy the stone anyway post your questions after the auction has ended. I'm sure this would be appreciated by anyone who's into natural hones.

Apologies, trust me... if I'd known there were going to be so many attempts to scold me over a picture? Yeah... wouldn't have posted it.

Bah, he posted a photo, and didn't mention with a word that it was from any auction. No one even knew it was from a live auction until Piet brought it up.

To be honest I think the fairly new member deserves the apology, not the other way around...

Seems to me he mentioned it in his 2nd post that's he's looking for more opinions on stone pictures from a live auction. Although I might have still made my post if he hadn't. Once the cat is out of the bag everyone helping the poster should get a fair chance at it even though that might hurt myself as well. If I wait till the auction is over the original poster might not even care to read my reply and might do it again.

I don't think he needs an apology from me because I'm trying to make him understand something which I think is very important without being overly harsh.

He just said "it wasn't listed as one though" , could be an ad , could be an already ended auction for all we know.
As I mentioned earlier, there's no rule against this at all here, so I feel it's unfair to bust his ass over this.

Oh well, no sense in continuing this, the winner of the auction will tell us.
