It's described as being a hard dense black stone. I've tried YLs before and currently use my Inigo Jones DT in my honing progression. They do a good job.

The seller refunded me £1 of the £14 I paid for shipping It's actually the standard cost for signed for small packages of that weight, but it seems to hurt more when the item is cheap
This YL stone is purple and feels rather smooth, very similar in colour to my La Lunes. Once it's lapped I'll take some pictures.
