Velkommen til SRP Mats!
Looks like Birnando is going to take good care of you, but he forgot to mention one thing (again ), the most important happening in the Nordic shaving community this year: http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...lo-norway.html
Hope you can join us

Mats,
I hope you accept Zephyr's invitation. Perhaps you can purchase a good quality, inexpensive strop at Nordic RazorCon.
The one you have that you showed in the photo is pretty much shot.

Thanked: 6Yeah I'm really excited and happy about the entire deal!
Razor fixed for free, introduction to a super nice community which shares a close hobby. Win win win all around
I'm almost 100% sure I can make the meet. Like I told Bjørnar I'm getting married on Aug. 4th, but I doubt it will collide with anything related to it.
Thanks again to Birnando!

Thanked: 6I just received the package with my razor in return!
A huge thank you to Birnando for the amazing job! I think it's safe to say that the razor has never been sharper than in it's current state.
Can't wait to give her a try again ASAP.
Here is a little picture of the (new) family united:
In my quest for a new strop I decided to go back to Larry at whippeddog. I got some good suggestions from Birnando on what to get, but I decided I hadn't quite graduated to the level of expertise to justify the expense of the really nice ones he had pointed out. Instead I got the double sided strop from Larry for $25, and a new silver tip badger brush with a ceramic handle that I am very pleased with.
I think I'll buy a nicer strop for my next one, Birnando. My old one looked like it had been a toy for cats. After this new one gets worn out I think I'll have good enough technique to justify one of the premium strops you suggested.
