First is the 'Dragon Tongue' second is the Purple Llyn Melynllyn and third is the 'mystery slate'. Hones have an estimated grit of 8-10k, 12-15k and 15k+, respectively.

I think that'd depend on who's doing the estimating.

But I know the joy of opening a package with a special hone it it, and I'm happy for ya! Cheers!!

I'm extremely happy with my "mystery slate" hone, that one and the purple one give really nice edges

Nice, still have them saved in my watch list on ebay... hoping to pull the trigger some point soon. Now get honing and let us know how they work out. Let Matt have a go at them too.

I like my "mystery hone" first with 20 laps water only then 20 laps with Smiths Honing solution

Pretty set of hones. Shame that the seller still uses names of hones which these apart from the third ones are not.
