Thread: Who hones and who just doesn't want to?

i set my mind learning how to hone.. i think i shave with a straight to be honest because it just is a better shave.. and i like nice razors.. i have been trying to hone for about over a year now some of my razors come out great when i do them, others i just cant seem to do at all..i learned how to rip houses apart and every aspect of putting a house back together in a year having no idea what i was doing but learned as i went and just kept reading and asking questions and i got it.. Honing i cant seem to grasp.. i get the idea i see it done but when i go to do it its something that i just cant get.. even after asking questions etc.. starting to think i may just be sending them out now.. is this my hobby im not so sure now, it has made something relaxing and set time aside away from everything just for myself. but to me its more about just geting the best shave and trying new things.. maybe one day ill get this honing thing and it will just click like it does Lynn.. u can read all day long and watch but u really need somebody to teach u or show u.. could u do a opem heart surgery by following a book and without killing somebody ?
