Just to add to what gugi said, this is the last correspondence you received from a moderator at 08:58 AM on 12-31-14 after asking to be "blocked from the sight" (sic) We've yet to receive a reply.

This is an interesting site, with a variety of personalities. Most of us get along well enough. There is a lot to be gained on this site if a person is interested in straight razors, honing and maintaining them. Some people have come here with little or no knowledge and become professional razor makers or restorers. A lot of resources here.

We have a few members who are virtual razor historians and are always posting information on obscure brands of razors, strops and hones. Say all this to say, this can be an enjoyable and profitable site from a knowledge point of view. At this point we aren't going to 'block you from the site', but you can always walk away and not come back.

IMO that would be your loss. If you were to stick around, forget the unpleasantness you've experienced previously, and abide by the rules you agreed to when you registered I think you might find you like it here and could contribute positively to the site. Your call.

Say this to say, the moderator team could have acquiesced to your request and banned you, but we prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt that they can 'get along with others.' The reason you first came to the attention of the moderators was because you accused a vendor of selling you a "piece of (expletive deleted) razor". You named a vendor and said that after repeated attempts to email you never received a reply.

How you could assess the quality of a razor when you cannot strop or hone is unknown to me. You've since posted a list of razors though you haven't mentioned whether you actually shave with them, or if you do, how you maintain them.

This, according to the rules is 'vendor bashing', and scatological language. The moderator pointed out, in a PM, that the rules specify this is not allowed and you replied criticising the site and it's rules, with the request to block you.

Then you spent the rest of the night arguing with an admin. We will bend over backwards to help new people out, but if you cannot play well with others we will have to assume that you came here to create problems and for no other purpose. As the above posted PM states, this is a nice place, you can enjoy it if you obey the rules and come here with a friendly demeanor. Otherwise you will be shown the door. It is up to you.
