8K, two layers, doing a J/C shaped stroke. Seem to be getting to the edge on each stroke, checking several times. Ended up doing 30 strokes over all (was trying to eliminate some horizontal lines). Here are high rez, lower rez, and edge shots. Had a hard time getting it in focus, without shadows or really bright spots. Maybe comparing the low and high rez shots, you can see an area in better detail. I can retake, if needed.
The edge seems very sharp, cutting arm hairs. There are some stria that are deeper than others, but not frequently.

Try a test shave. If it does ok go ahead to your finisher, if it doesn't then it still needs more work

I'll give it a test shave tomorrow morning, and see what it is like.

Shaved using the Boker today. It gave a close shave with no irritation! This is off the 8k, after qhich i stopped on linen 25x and leather 75x. I'll go to the 12k SS and test again, just for grins, but it seems fine (assuming it holds its edge).

Thanks! I'm happy with the latest honing, even with some deeper stria showing (granted at hi rez). Was going backwards for a bit, nice to go two steps forward.
Thanks for the help everyone. This is probably my 8th honing 'exercise', but since it's only once every few months and each razor I have is quite different, it poses quite a challenge.

Thanked: 3795I will remind you of something JimmyHAD has said several times. It was something like, "the less magnification I used, the better my honing looked!"
